Snurk Bedding and Cushions

Hi friends,

I'm back with the lovely bedding design duo Peggy van Neer and Erik van Loo from Snurk. I just love bedding by Snurk ("to snore" in Dutch). I first heard of  Snurk a few years ago when they came out with their first duvet cover called Le-Clochard. The cardboard box duvet cover. A large portion of the proceeds went (and still does) to The Dutch Foundation for Homeless Youngsters (SZN). It was a major success!

Snurk's bedding is designed in The Netherlands and made in Portugal using the best cotton and velour fabrics. Earlier this year they launched a new kids line with the most clever designs I've seen in a while. Look at this totally cool right?
This beats Disney princess any day of the week hands down.
This one makes it a bit of a problem when you want to yell don't jump on the bed to your kids.

I do love their Geogami series too. The colours are all so fresh and awesome.

Go to the Snurk website for their online shop and information on brick and mortar stores that sell their bedding and cushions. And yes they do ship internationally!

See you next time,

Nelly

Out Of Commission (Will Be Back Soon)

I have been gone for a bit here on the blog.

Health wise I'm not doing well. Last weekend I had myself a stay over at the hospital and everything. It has to do with my sickle-cell anaemia and high blood pressure. I'm back home now and my parents are here to help out with the kids and house which is a godsend. So grateful for that.

I need to focus on getting back my health before I can go full force on the blog again. I wanted to let you all know what's up.

I will be back though.

See y'all later.

Hugs,

Nelly

A Room For Our Big Boy [A For Now Reveal ]

Hello again all,

I promised you an update on the big boy room last week. After I took the pictures last week I wasn't happy with them at all. I was thinking, I wish I had a wide angle lens to shoot this room properly. So I was doubting sharing my pictures with you all together. I went back to shoot some more pictures to see if I would be happier with them. I wasn't. I have been putting this post off for a week. But hey here it is. I don't have the funds to get me a wide angle lens anytime soon so here is my very best attempt people.

We have come a long way but I'm still missing a few little touches to be finished with this project.

We went from this. Yes that's my crafting stash all over our 'spare room'.

To this.

Not too shabby right. Almost there just a few little things.

Let me whip out the old list to see where we stand.

How To Pretty Up Your Keys [A Pinspiration Project]

Hello all,

I'm back again with a quick and super easy little project for you. I first saw this about a year ago on Pinterest and thought it was very clever and then forgot about it. It is the first time I actually tried something I saw on Pinterest. This one is very low risk people.

I wanted to add something to the vintage lockers in RJ's room and came up with this.

Grab your keys and some coordinating nail polish and topcoat. Paint a couple of coats of nail polish on the upper part of your keys and finish off with the topcoat to protect it all. I used masking tape for a crisp line. I had to number my keys to make sure I didn't switch them up as they where not all the same. Each door has it's own specific key.
I then used this giraffe garland I bought at Leenbakker. These giraffes are little blackboards so perfect to label my keys and doors. I took the garland apart and drilled a hole where I wanted it and recycled the rope.

Easy peasy right!?

Tomorrow the 'for now' reveal of RJ's big boy room.
